Veteran higher education leader and digital governance expert with a Ph.D. in Peace, Governance, and Development, bringing over 30 years of experience in institutional development, academic leadership, and technology-driven reforms. Dr. Mohamud Mohamed Alasso currently serves as Deputy Rector for Student Affairs at SIMAD University, where he oversees strategic planning, digital transformation of student services, and academic performance monitoring. His expertise spans e-government, transparency, accountability, and ICT integration in post-conflict societies. He has previously held senior roles in institutional development and finance, leading modernization initiatives across university operations. A committed educator, Dr. Alasso has taught Management Information Systems, Research Methodology, E-Commerce, and Systems Analysis & Design at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research contributions focus on the role of e-governance in strengthening institutions, with multiple publications and ongoing studies addressing digital public service delivery and corruption mitigation. Widely recognized for his service, he is a recipient of SIMAD University’s Rector Award and other institutional honors. He remains dedicated to advancing effective, technology-enabled governance and quality education in fragile contexts.
