Prof. Abdulle Hassan Mohamud

Dedicated academic and researcher with a Ph.D. in Advanced Computer Networking, specializing in next-generation networking technologies, cybersecurity, and machine learning. Dr. Abdijalil Abdullahi Mohamed currently serves as Head of the Department of Information Technology at the Faculty of Computing, SIMAD University. He brings over a decade of experience in teaching, departmental leadership, and collaborative research, particularly in Software Defined Networking (SDN), Internet Governance, and Digital Public Infrastructure. His work contributes to the advancement of secure, scalable, and intelligent network systems across academic and applied settings. A prolific scholar, Dr. Abdijalil has published widely in reputable journals and co-led numerous projects in IoT, AI-powered systems, and 5G deployment. As a committed educator, he actively mentors undergraduate and postgraduate students and champions innovation through student-driven research on real-world problems. His academic contributions extend to supervising theses in emerging technologies, leading curriculum development, and shaping institutional digital strategies. Dr. Abdijalil’s vision is grounded in merging cutting-edge technologies with societal impact, fostering resilient, inclusive, and secure digital ecosystems in Somalia and beyond.
