Abdulaziz Yasin Nageye

Abdulaziz Yasin Nageye is a dedicated academic and technology leader currently serving as the Head of Graphics and Multimedia and a Senior  Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing, SIMAD University, Mogadishu, Somalia. With a strong background in computer science and engineering, he has developed a dynamic teaching and research portfolio that spans both theoretical and applied aspects of modern computing. His primary research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Mobile and Web Applications. Abdulaziz has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications in these fields, focusing on practical solutions to local and regional challenges in Somalia, such as smart agriculture, energy efficiency, port logistics, and flood monitoring using intelligent systems. As an educator, he has taught a wide range of courses including Java Programming, Database Management Systems, Cisco IT Essentials, MS Office Applications, and Research Methodology, helping shape the next generation of Somali IT professionals. In his role as Head of Graphics and Multimedia, he leads initiatives to integrate design thinking and interactive media into computing education and digital transformation projects.
